ORGANIC SATURDAYS = Gilroy Demonstration Garden Organic Farm Stand

Not sure if you've heard of our "ORGANIC SATURDAYS".. but we now feature a GDG Organic Farm Stand on Saturdays between 10am - 1pm. Our Saturdays are full of healthy energy as we have open work days from 10am - 1pm, followed with a delicious potluck lunch in the Garden. Come by anytime.. see you in the garden!

Garden Day Camp Ends With Celebration

August 12, 2010, the last day of the inaugural summer Garden Day Camp of the Demonstration Garden, ended in a celebration that saw the campers, staff, and volunteers accept invitations to visit two of our local businesses.






In preparation, the campers picked produce from the Garden to be used in the lunch meal they were to eat at Lizarran restaurant later.





Before leaving the Garden to walk downtown, there was a talk about safety and good manners when being
invited to be a guest.
As it turned out though, the first celebration would be for a free scoop of ice cream at the new bookstore downtown, Garlic City Books!
